I want to cast on and start Aaralyn’s tank top. I just don’t know which of the three colors I should start with . . . any suggestions. ? Yup I over think things
It is official. Red white & blue. stripes. is the plan. I don’t know how big the stripes will be, I think I’ll just change colors whenever as I go up and make em different sizes - that way I don’t have to think about how many rows I’ve knit, or go back and count. I’ll be knitting in the round up to the neck/shoulders, much like I did with her dress I knit last year. This will just have a lower cast on
I finished a hat for Tob’s at knit night. And I started the "short and sassy shawl" for myself the other night, I want to knit it long enough to tie around my hips for belly dance class when I go back next summer (i’m thinking when T is around 1 i’ll pick that up again). Uhm. what else. I found the instructions I lost last week so I’m going to do finishing on the Easter presents, really, it’s about time. The thing is, once the deadline passes if you aren’t done it’s easier to let it go. I do need one more thing, the poly whatever pellets for the body of the horse, I knew I had forgotten something. I have the felt and embroidery thread though.
I made myself put on the socks last night and wear them for a bit. Not too bad. I haven’t tried them with shoes yet though. I am just. SO particular about how things feel on my feet. and I don’t get the joy of socks other people have. I dunno. . . I will be knitting a second pair with the Lorna’s Laces I bought, I just don’t know when i’m going to do it. I need to get another set of needles, because i’m not knitting with that bent one again.
knit night was q u i e t this past week, next week might be more fun ??? i wanted to go buy a book today, no car. boo.

i’d start with the darkest colour for the cast on… edges always seem to get dirtier than anything else so I like to have something that *might* hide it a bit better. and handknit socks - move to a colder climate and you will suddenly understand their loveliness! best thing about handknit socks according to older son: no toe seam - EVER! he has always hated the seams in commercial socks…
