I still haven’t done the finishing work on the dragons & horse. I’m not the best when it comes to finishing. . .

Now starting, I can do. As long as I can start when it is quiet and no one is jumping on me   

I bought some yarn a few days ago, unfortunatly the purchase was made via a sale that I wish hadn’t had to happen. My favorite yarn store has closed, there is only one I like to visit now (well on our side of the metroplex, there was one I really liked on the other side of the metroplex too, but I can’t make it out there often). I got some mountain colors and touche for a Fourth Of July tank for the girlie and a couple of other things. I shared my purchases with my daughter when I got home, since she is already fiber-lovin’ I happened to notice the scent of the yarn and said "Oh it smells good" and ms. A says "I eat it?" and put the skein she was touching up to her mouth. ha ha ha.

Tonight I rolled one of the hanks into a ball to begin knitting with it. A came into the room right as I finished and said "OH it’s a ball! I touch?" Sweetness. I told her she could touch but she could not throw it (which was the first thing my now 5 yo did when he discovered the first ball of yarn I ever made myself from a hank a few ago). So she picked it up, and felt the yarn, and talked about all the pretty colors she saw. Then she set it down, pulled out the red Touche, and said "I’ll make a ball" and tried, fortunatly she didn’t quite get it right . . .

April is Script Frenzy month, I’m going to aim for 5 pages a day, the goal is 100 pages by the end of April.

as soon as i finish cleaning up from our day* i am giong to do some knitting/hand felting.

left for Easter : 2 dragon scales, 1 dragon body. I ended up with only 2 dragons, I actually asked my 9 yo what he thought about getting one or getting something different - he said he would rather have whatever toy. so thats what i’ll get him. I hope i can find it in target tomorrow.

I knit on the horse last night, thanks to Grace & knit night I finished the body & knit the ears. So tonight I’ll felt it and yeah follow the directions from there so I have a horsie for a pink basket on Sunday.

After I finish the Easter things I’ll finish up the ears for the baby hat. and uhm. I don’t know what i was thinking before taking off to give the baby a bath thirty minutes ago. oh well. i’m done here. lots to do HERE.

* I wanted to edit and add that our day included 9 children 9 & under in my house and was a ton of fun. It also included lots of baking (regular bread, cinnamon bread, strawberry muffins, and cookies to decorate) and a little work on a family project we’re doing.

1. knitting away on the dragons. i have all but the scales done for one and a bunch done for the second.

2. still haven’t picked up the horse again. maybe tomorrow?

3. the socks have sat and really seem to have been a waste of six months as i have no desire to wear them. 

4. halfway done with another animal ears hat, at request of a friend for her baby.

Mostly just busy trying to get the house & things ready for baby. Must be ready for a homebirth in 2 months time. He can come anytime during the 4-6 weeks after that. He kicks hard these days, and i’m not sure yet what is going on his birth certificate, but I can’t wait to meet him.
