Sock yarns - my “stash” [on the needles, yummy yarn] — Aishy @ 5:18 am

So, it is a ’stash’ as long as there is more than you can knit with at one time right? Last night, I took photos of all the sock yarn I’ve got. Actually that isn’t true, but I already have one up of the other yarn so I can just pull that from before. So here it is, nothing compared to some sock yarn stashers, but hey i’m not even sure if I will like the socks or not yet, I won’t know until they are done. I have issues with how socks feel on my feet & in my shoes, so I’ve worried about comfort issues.

My Lorna’s Laces, I’ve wanted to knit with this for a long while

Not so sure if I like the KP essentials, it’ll be awhile before I try it again anyway…

I am looking forward to working with this yarn - panda cotton

My newest, fell in love with the colors and had to have it, it likely won’t be socks. From Yarn Pig (I’ll get the link later, i’m lazy)

Toby’s yarn, dyed the day after I found out I was pregnant. He was heavily on my mind that day.

  1. I didn’t like KP Essentials when I first knitted socks with it. I thought it would last about 5 minutes, and, indeed, there was pilling on the heel flap almost right away. However, once I pulled that off, those socks have worn like iron and been one of the most reliable items in my wardrobe. I know I’ve worn them at least once a week. They were the Lacy Mock Cable socks, too, which means they are knitted a little more loosely than I usually knit. I’ve since made children’s socks for my DGC, but I have some more ready to knit for myself.

  3. Ooooh, sockyness. Methinks you knew Toby was a boy from the start, looking at his yarn. And I’m drooling over your LL!

  4. i like to go with the theory that sock yarn doesn’t really count as “stash”… not sure which i’m loving more - your jitterbug or your LL.
