baby knitting plans [Since it doesn't belong anywhere else] — Aishy @ 3:05 pm

So, I’ve never had a May Baby before. What do I knit him? How do you knit a sunhat for a baby boy? I think I have a bucket hat pattern somewhere, that would be nice. I have some Shine in green apple someone wanted to get rid of & I haven’t done anything with it yet, I was thinking a romper type thing would be cute for the summer. And a sweater for the fall/winter in a 6-12 mo size, I have the book Style Your Own Kids Knits and will use that to put together what I want. I may try to knit everyone a sweater, but the babys will probably have a button front. Maybe not, actually. I like the look of the pull overs. hm. I’ll decide eventually. Hats for winter, probably a baby bear hat because Jude’s was so cute. Socks! Sometimes it’s cold inside places, and baby won’t wear shoes (we’ll get robeez for winter, they are great for keeping feet warm & socks on).  I really don’t like soakers (there is an ick factor, imo, not to mention my wool itch issue, see below) so none of those for my babes.

I don’t know about using wool yarn for sweaters. I always hated mine, and I still do. I am wearing one today, from Old Navy (maternity) that is fine because of the longsleeve shirt underneath, but when I wore it with only a tank underneath (on a much warmer day) OH The ITCHINESS. ick. I also had a headband that I can’t wear (my sister took off home with it & I haven’t seen it since. heh) because of the itchyness. and it isn’t 100% wool.

  1. What about using the KP Shine for a MDK Kimono for Baby?
