back n forth [Since it doesn't belong anywhere else, on the needles] — Aishy @ 12:06 am

I have two small n fairly easy projects going right now, i’m at the heel on the sock still because i got distracted by the multi-directional scarf. I carry them both with me and knit on them whenever. There were comments at the Behan concert (KofC fundraiser) the other night about my always having my knitting with me.

This week is back to school week. I start homeschooling k/1st with the two youngest boys, and JJ is going to a university model co-op school, he will attend classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and be home with us (homework) on m/w/f. I went to meet the teachers the other day and I think he will have a fun year. The science teacher is very hands on, the english/SS teacher makes sure to hit all the learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinisethic), and well I didn’t meet the math teacher. The librarian will do study hall, and i was worried about J having that (there wasn’t enough interest for a music class) but now i’m thinking the downtime will be good for him. He can have a snack & drink, mp3 player or cd player, and books or writing that isn’t school related.  After that is PE and I think he will hate it but it is really the only social time (other than lunch) and he needs that in his first year at the school. Because they are fitting SO much into two days they don’t do any actual recess, the school doesn’t have a playground even (they are looking to build a large campus in the next couple of years). After school the boys (J & k) are going to trial Tae Kwon Do that the PE teacher teaches, and if they like that we’ll go ahead and join. They have two times to take it, we can choose, so that is really cool.

Okay now that i’ve gotten WAY off topic. Oh I have something on topic. I decided to knit up a baby set (booties, hats, sweater or kimono or something) & maybe attempt some lovey blankets (sewing) to donate for the annual school auction. So I should plan what colors and get started on that.
