It’s been awhile since I’ve done one. Lets see. The crowns are fast & fun. I knit 3. I was sent photos of my nephew in his, he is SO darn cute!
I have another FO. I recently started a bellydancing class & decided a knit hip skirt would be something fun. I choose a ribbon yarn, and since I wasn’t sure how much I would need I bought 4 skeins (is it a skein when its wrapped around a cardboard thing? or does it have another name?) anyway, I only used one and a half. It’s a triangle, I got a strip of bells from Big Lots which I am sewing onto the top, and I am doing a fringe with beads on the bottom.
I’ve been working on the kimono too, I should have been doing ONLY the kimono, as today is babys due date. But it is getting there, i’ll probably watch a movie tonight (my new netflix should be in the mail today) and knit through it. I just finished the first arm decreases, so I should be finished with that side after a couple hours of straight knitting. If I can get a couple hours of straight knitting.
I knit at the parade yesterday a little bit, I couldn’t help it, I like having something to do and the baby allowed me to set her down for a little bit. And I thought, the SOW’s should totally do a float in next years parade, and we can all sit and knit while people watch us. Yeah! I’m a dork.
I guess that is all that is in progress. OH no I also have a little hat, but it requires a tiny bit of thought still because I don’t quite have the pattern down yet. The kimono is my only mindless, and its only half mindless with the increases and decreases and stuff. haha.

A knitting float? I could so totally do that.

Don’t suppose you’d be willing to share the pattern for your birthday crown? I’ve got a soon-to-be 3 year old (the 26 of this month) and no time in which to play around with yarn figuring out the increases and decreases etc. I’d love to make one for him!
